The Edmonton Oilers will be honoring the 2024 class of the Oilers Hall of Fame following their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, October 25 at Rogers Place.
The post-game ceremony will recognize this year’s inductees Randy Gregg and Craig MacTavish, with fellow alumni Al Hamilton, Charlie Huddy, Chris Joseph, Dave Hunter, Kelly Buchberger, Kevin Lowe, Paul Coffey and other special guests in attendance.
Gregg and MacTavish’s names will be permanently enshrined in the ring above the PCL Loge Level at Rogers Place, and they will also be presented with their official Oilers Hall of Fame jackets.
On Friday afternoon, Mac T spoke with media about being inducted, and some of the many memories he has had in Edmonton over the years.
In addition to the ceremony, Friday’s event will feature other special elements for fans, including a limited-edition Oilers Hall of Fame commemorative ticket, and Oilers players wearing Hall of Fame jersey patches. Select jerseys will be auctioned at a later date with net proceeds going to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.
The Oilers will face against the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7:00 PM MT and the Hall of Fame ceremony will be held after the final buzzer.
For fans watching at home, the ceremony will be broadcast on Sportsnet ONE.
