Youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness will gather at the Boyle Street Community Plaza for a helping hand at the annual YEG Youth Connect.
The one day event in October welcomes youth between the ages of 13 to 29 with haircuts, free meals, live music, clothing and agencies to find stable housing, employment and health services.
For the better part of a decade, this event has provided the opportunity for at risk Edmonton residents to find the help they need and likeminded individuals.
Ryan Beard is a YegYouthConnect Co-Chair and spoke to CFWE about the event, hoping everyone attending finds the help they deserve.
Audio PlayerBeard acknowledged accepting the helping hand can be difficult for some to do, but he encourages everyone struggling with houselessness or addiction take a few minutes of their day to see if the free event is for them.
