New tourism corridor to highlight Northern Alberta, NWT

Edmonton is known as the gateway to the North.

A new project called the Northern Sky Corridor, created by Destination Canada, is planning on invigorating the communities between the capital city and into the Northwest Territories through tourism. Their plan is to create more of an economic impact along the regions covered, promoting local attractions and highlighting points of interest.

Explore Edmonton partnered with Destination Canada for the project – Melissa Radu with Explore Edmonton says, those who journey along the way of the corridor will discover the provinces rich Indigenous culture.

Radu tells us, the corridor program will invigorate the tourism landscape of Alberta to the Northwest Territories.
