Starting September 30, any self-identifying First Nations, Métis, or Inuit student who submits an application to a participating program at the University of Alberta will have their applicant fee waived.
All applications submitted by midnight on October 9, 2024 will be considered for the promotion.
Trevor Phillips with the U of A says, there is one key point when you apply.
“Once you start your application, make sure you self declare as Indigenous when you start, because that’s the key to making sure we know you’re Indigenous and eligible.”
Indigenous identity documentation can be loaded to your account via the LaunchPad portal after you apply and up until you receive an official decision.
A team of Free Application Days Advisors will review your application and reach out with any updates or recommendations.
