The Canadian Finals Rodeo is celebrating its 50th anniversary by coming home to Edmonton in October.
The capital city will host the CFR from October 2-5 at Rogers Place. This will mark the first time Edmonton has hosted the CFR in seven years, and to commemorate its return to its home city, Edmonton will have a week-long celebration, Rodeo Week, starting September 28 and ending October 6.
Rodeo Week will feature a variety of events each day, including a Canadian Country Expo, a Black-Tie Bingo fundraiser for the Rodeo Cowboy’s Benevolent Fund, a chili cook-off, daily tailgate parties, nightly all-ages parties, and more.
There will be four evening performances from Wednesday – Saturday, with a matinee performance on Saturday. The championship round will be held on Saturday evening.
