The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating after a plane crashed in a field near Fort Vermilion Saturday night.
The crash happened in a field near Township Road 1090 and Range Road 152 at around 8pm, according to a news release RCMP.
The pilot, the sole occupant of the plane, was found dead.
ATCO Electric sent crews to the area Saturday night after learning an incident caused damage to the transmission line serving La Crête, and the surrounding area.
More than 3,800 customers were affected by three outages in the area, however ATCO confirms on Monday that power has been restored.
