Wildfire smoke will linger in the Capital Region and across northern and central Alberta for the next few days. Air quality health index (AQHI) readings hit the 10+ range in Edmonton this morning, putting it in the “very high” category.
With the latest air quality news, people should reduce or reschedule outdoor activities, especially if they’re dealing with a cough. For at risk population including elders and children, they’re asked to avoid all outdoor activities.
Edmonton’s worst air quality readings will likely be this morning and early afternoon but will have a slight improvement Thursday.
