Tourists won’t be allowed to visit Jasper when residents return Friday: Parks Canada

With Jasper residents starting their journey home on Friday, Parks Canada said the return will be for residents only at this time.

In the Parks Canada post they stated “Re-entry on Aug. 16 is for residents only.” The post continues by saying residents will be able to show their Parks Canada issued resident parking pass or self declare at park gates.

Anyone without a resident re-entry guide will be directed to drive through the park on Highway 16 without stopping.
