A man is dead following a fatal accident as a Leduc resident crashed his motorcycle in south Edmonton on Wednesday evening.
On Wednesday, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Edmonton police were called the off ramp at 41 Avenue on the QEII.
According to RCMP, the 34-year-old man was travelling at a “high rate of speed” as he travelled northbound on highway 2 when he lost control before he got on the off-ramp, hitting a guard rail.
The man was pronounced dead on scene.
Leduc RCMP believe there was another motorcycle driving on QE II Highway north bound at the off ramp to 41 Avenue at time of the motorcycle collision and would like to speak with the driver.
The motorcycle is described as blue with gold accents and was last seen west bound on 41 Avenue in Edmonton.
