Niginan Housing Ventures hosted community members within Edmonton at the Grand Opening of the Pimatisiwin Supportive Housing and Shelter Facility located at the former Sands Inn & Suites in the neighboring of Elmwood Park in Northwest Edmonton.
Keri Cardinal, CEO of Niginan Housing Ventures says she’s proud of what transpired at the Grand Opening of the newly renovated Supportive Housing Facility.

Cardinal says that there will be 54 supportive units for those deemed hard to house, with 6 enhanced acute care suites, with 55 Indigenous emergency shelter spaces for houseless residents in need of shelter with provided services.

Cardinal adds that the Niginan Housing Facility that focuses on ceremony with ensuring that Indigenous people that are houseless are protected with guidance to get off the streets by building connections in the path towards healing.
