The Edmonton Oilers have traded prospect Xavier Bourgault.
Jake Chiasson will also be joining Bourgault and head to the Ottawa Senators for Roby Jarventie and a fourth-round pick in the 2025 draft according to hockey sources.
Jarventie was drafter 33rd overall by the Senators in 2020. The 21-year-old played seven NHL games in Ottawa last season.
“Järventie anticipates play well in the offensive zone. He scores a lot by having a feel for where the puck is going to be next. He can pull off some pretty impressive moves while playing at full-speed, and consistently displays good habits by keeping the puck close to his frame,” according to the Elite Prospects website.
The Finnish forward has played parts of four seasons with the Belleville Senators in the AHL where he scored 86 points.
