Kihêw Waciston hosted their 4th Annual Indigenous Artisan Market inside MacEwan University, showcasing a diverse array of local First Nation’s, Metis, and Inuit creations in honor of National Indigenous History Month.
Sydney Bremner, coordinator at Kihêw Waciston, speaks on the market honoring National Indigenous History Month, with close to 30 vendors selling hand made creations such as earring and ribbon skirts.

Bremner goes on to say that it’s exciting and important that MacEwan gives the space to allow the the Artisan Market to be displayed inside the University for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students can experience.

Bremner hopes that students in MacEwan University walk away with acknowledging and respecting Indigenous Artisans with the hard work that goes into the creations, and seeing each one as artists.
