The warmer weather couldn’t have come at a better time.
Devon Days returns just south east of Edmonton for four days of food, fun and festivities.
The event is presented by the Town of Devon and kicks off with a Hot Dog Barbecue, which will offer free hot dogs and floats on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Community Centre.
If rides and amusements are what you are after then the midway is just what the doctor ordered and fires up on Friday, beginning at 3 p.m. and runs daily until Sunday evening . Saturday and Sundays midway opens at 11 a.m.
Market goers can cruise the Main Street Market and Pocket Park Downtown offers a beer gardens.
Friday specific events include the Legion Barbecue at the Legion Gazebo, running from 5 p.m. to 8p.m. Friday will also boast Devon’s Got Taste along Athabasca Avenue.
The crowd favorite fireworks display will fire off at 11 p.m. on the north side of Discovery Place on Friday as well.
Saturday will feature the Family Fun Fair at the Devon Community Church during the day and Comedy Night at the community Centre, running from 6:30 to 11:00 p.m.
The Alberta Strongman Competition runs from noon to 4 on both Saturday and Sunday near Huron street and to close your weekend, Sunday will have the Kids Sunday Funday on Athabasca Avenue and the Show and Shine at the Community Centre.
