One of the biggest events in the Peace Region is returning this week.
Since 1977, the Grande Prairie Stompede has been a community staple, providing nearly a week of activities ranging from live music to rodeo action. This year catch country music acts Steven Lee Olsen and Brett Kissel perform live.
Trevor Denis is the president of the Grande Prairie Stompede Association. He’s been the president for 20 years and spoke to CFWE about some of the things he’s most proud of since assuming that position.
With the Stompede being one of the largest events in the Peace Region year in and year out, Denis says it’s not possible without the unwavering support from the residents within the region.
The main performances at the rodeo will start at 1pm daily from Thursday to Sunday. Details on all the festivities happening at the 2024 Stompede can be found on their webpage.
