The EPS Homicide Section is investigating the death of a youth that occurred Tuesday evening in northwest Edmonton.
The 15 year old, who was from St Albert, was found at 137 Avenue and 184 Street around 9:30 p.m. by police who had received a report of an “injured male” there.
Edmonton police arrested a man at the scene, who they say was known to the victim.
According to media reports, the teen was walking with his mother and his pit bull when the assailant stabbed the boy in the neck.
The boy died on scene after police and paramedics tried to save him.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
