Brent went on further to explain more about some of the amazing not-for-profits benefiting from the series:
“iHuman is truly grateful to be a beneficiary of the Together YEG Concert Series. This generous donation will directly support our efforts to empower Edmonton’s vulnerable youth through arts and personal development programs. Collaborations like this not only help sustain our mission, but also strengthen our community and the support we provide to those in need. We deeply appreciate the committee’s dedication to the local arts and their effort to make a real difference for young people.” – Beryl Bacchus, Executive Director – iHuman
“We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the 2023 Edmonton JUNO’s Host Committee and TOGETHER YEG! Because of this exciting initiative with proceeds supporting charities and nonprofits, including our Youth Orchestra of Northern Alberta, live music can thrive. To the wonderful audiences who supported local talent – your generosity is creating a beautiful rhythm in our community and changing lives. Thank you!” – Anne-Marie Switzer, Director of Musical Creativity – Francis Winspear Centre for Music | Edmonton Symphony Orchestra
“We are so grateful for the ongoing support from the Edmonton music community through the Together YEG Series. The funds raised from this initiative will be invested into Edmonton-area school music programs to help kids get access to the power of making music. It’s initiatives like this that help MusiCounts make progress on our mission of making music education accessible, sustainable, and inclusive.” – Kristy Fletcher, President – MusiCounts
Would Brent do it all again? Provided the funds were available, he wouldn’t skip on the chance to do it all again:
“The Together YEG concert series was a great celebration of our live music scene – and was able to contribute to some great organizations in the process. We hope that the legacy of the 2023 JUNO Host Committee was able to shine a light on a local industry that all Edmontonians should be proud of.” – Aimee Hill, Co-Chair – Junos 2023 Host Committee
