The Saddle Lake Community Market is making it’s way to the Manitou Kihew Arena on April 24th from 10 AM – 3 Pm where over 30 vendors will be on site.
Saddle Lake Community Market Organizer Wade Steinhauer speaks on his excitement for the upcoming Market, as he adds that many vendors from surrounding communities attend from Lac La Biche, Cold Lake and Edmonton join in on becoming a part of the Community Market within the Nation.

Steinhauer says that the Community Market reminds him of his childhood as his relatives would run the markets within Saddle Lake, as he says it’s been his goal to bring back the Community Market scene within Saddle Lake and for the community to be excited for more to return.

Steinhauer goes on to say that the market is important to keep going, as it helps to continue on the beadwork and hand made traditions within Saddle Lake.

“It’s just something positive” Steinhauer adds as the market is something the entire community within Saddle Lake Cree Nation looks forward to and inspires many to get creative and to become vendors of their very own.
