Many Edmontonians gathered on Jasper Avenue protesting against the Federal Carbon Tax.
Benita Pederson, coordinator of the protest, said the gathering is about sending a message to the Federal Government to abolish the Carbon Tax and to listen to the people.

Pederson says the response from the community and passerby’s has been positive, with many asking “Where do I sign”, with plans to present the signed petition to MP Arnold Viersen in the coming days.

Pederson’s response to the Carbon Tax increase today, calling it “harmful to Canadians”, adding that it’s disappointing that the Federal Government pushed for the increase in Tax.
