True North Aid brings A Taste of Indigenous Canada to Edmonton

A Taste of Indigenous Canada hosted by True North Aid is inviting many within the city of Edmonton and surrounding communities to attend on April 7th inside the Knottwood Community Centre.

Katie Koopman, Reconciliation Program Coordinator for True North Aid spoke with Windspeaker Radio Network about her excitement about the event.

Koopman says that she is thrilled to have Chubby Cree perform at 2 PM inside the Knottwood Community Centre.

Koopman adds that there will be over a dozen local artisan vendors present inside the centre, that will see beaded earrings and hand-made items for sale.

Koopman goes on to say that their is a real momentum of non-Indigenous members that want to know more about Reconciliation and how to better educate themselves and to celebrate Indigenous culture, and says that it will be a meaningful event for many.
