The Youth Career Discovery Expo is making it’s way to the City of Grande Prairie on March 21 inside the Bonnetts Energy Centre, where many youth within the community can explore potential careers from over 100 employers and post-secondary options.
CFWE spoke with Nicole Hornett, community development coordinator from the City of Grande Prairie as she is excited to be hosting the Career Expo for the youth in the community.
Hornett says that the Expo will host over 100 exhibitors that will include hands on simulators to showcase trades and career opportunities.
Hornett says it’s open to all youth in the surrounding areas of Grande Prairie, and is hopeful many Indigenous youth will come out and attend as many Indigenous exhibitors will be on site.
Hornett is hopeful that many youth will be inspired by the Expo and to maximize their full potential on the path to their chosen career.
