The Bent Arrow Healing and Training Society hosted their annual Round Dance inside the Alberta Aviation Museum in partnership with Women Building Futures on Saturday.
Cheryl Whiskeyjack, executive director of Bent Arrow spoke with Windspeaker Radio Network about her excitement for the Round Dance event.
Whiskeyjack says that it resonates with her that when she sees community coming together for the Round Dance event, and seeing the people having a reunion that changes the feeling of the room for many in a positive way.
Carol Moen, President of the Women Building Futures says she’s excited to be a part of the event, along with adding that more then 20 percent of women that graduate from Women Building Futures are Indigenous, saying that she wants to see the percentage grow.
