The Government of Alberta announced that it will be supporting over 10 international hockey events and hockey development camps over the next four years across the province.
Minister of Tourism and Sport Joseph Schow says it’s a significant investment in the provinces sports legacy, with 11 million going towards the events that will be held within Alberta.

Schow adds that with these events it will be bringing a lot of eyes towards Alberta, and a huge economy boost towards small businesses and restaurants within the province.
