The 2024 Juno awards will be held in Halifax this year, and Indigenous artists from across Canada are front and center.
While there are two dedicated Indigenous categories for Contemporary and Tractional Indigenous Artist or Group of the Year, Indigenous artists have been standing out among the various categories.
Biggest standout is Indigenous singer/songwriter Aysanabee who is not only nominated for Contemporary Indigenous Artist or Group of the Year, he is also nominated for, Songwriter of the Year and Alternative Album of Year with his October 2023 release Here and Now.

Roots singer/songwriter William Prince who was also nominated for Songwriter of the Year and Contemporary Roots Album of the Year with his April 2023 release Stand in the Joy.

Christian artist Stirling John was nominated for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year with his 2022 release Where I’m Meant to Be
With a wide range of Categories at the Junos a category to watch will be the Contemporary Roots Album of the Year as three of the five nominees are Indigenous which include:

- Julian Taylor’s Beyond The Reservoir
- Logan Staats’ A Light in the Attic

The 53 Juno awards will be hosted by Ten time Juno award winner Nelly Furtado at the Halifax Centre March 24, at 6p.m. MST.
