The Bissell Centre and Boyle Street Community Services came together to host their Winter Carnival, with bon fires, smores and entertainment for community members to enjoy outside of the Bissell Centre.
Windspeaker Radio Network spoke with Kaitlin Laurdisen, Senior Manager of Boyle Street Community Services as she says that it’s all about bringing community together with the help of Bissell over the past several years.

Laurdisen states that they have experienced displacement of Boyle Street Plaza into five sites within the city, she adds that it’s amazing to see community members and the events still continue onwards after the move in the fall.

Laurdisen adds that the Winter Carnival is a great opportunity for community members to get a chance to connect with one another and to introduce new coming volunteers for Boyle Street to the community.
