Edmonton Police believe an escaped prisoner may be in Enoch after he walked away from the Stan Daniels Healing Centre on Thursday.
On January 4, 2024, William Mackinaw, an inmate from Stan Daniels Healing Centre failed to report to his destination, while on an authorized temporary absence.
Mackinaw is serving a sentence of 23 years for Breaking and entering to commit an offence, assault with a weapon, using a firearm in commission of an offence, and possession for the purpose of trafficking, amongst others. He also has convictions for unlawful confinement and possessing a dangerous weapon.
Mackinaw is described as 45-years-old, 5’10”, and weighing 195 pounds.
Police believe he may be headed to Enoch, Alta.
