RCMP are asking drivers to use caution while driving on major highways in central Alberta due to poor road conditions leading to multiple crashes.
RCMP responded to a serious multi-vehicle collision on Highway 11 near Range Road 45. Traffic was being redirected in both directions and crews said they’d be there for several hours.
Driving conditions are “very poor” on the QEII from the Highway 597 and Highway 2A intersection near Red Deer, RCMP said just before 9 a.m.
Drivers are asked to use caution or wait until the conditions get better before driving in the area.
