Morinville RCMP and the medical examiner’s office are investigating a collision on Highway 37 that took the life of a 30-year-old male pedestrian on Tuesday evening.
According to an RCMP press release issued December 13th , at approximately 6:40 p.m. yesterday evening, Mounties responded to a collision involving a single-vehicle and a pedestrian on Highway 37, near Range Road 270, in Sturgeon County.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that the 30-year-old male was wearing dark clothing and came in contact with the passing motorist.
Emergency crews attended to the victim, but he was pronounced dead on scene.
Traffic was diverted for several hours while RCMP investigated the incident.
The victims identity is still unbknown at this time as investigators have consulted with the medical examiner’s office.
