The Edmonton Arts Council, the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Community Foundation awarded 25 local artists that received $15,000 dollars to celebrate the silver anniversary of the Arts Awards.
Windspeaker Radio Network spoke with Connie Legrande about her reaction to being one of the 25 to receive the award.

Legrande says that the awards is a beautiful by recognizing local Indigenous artists and creating spaces for current and future artists in the music industry.

Daniel Foreman from the Edmonton Short Film Festival spoke with Windspeaker Radio Network about the awards and was happy to see the many people receive money that can help them out to put towards bills and aid in focusing on their crafts.
