Crews in Wetaskiwin believe three fires within 24 hours of eachother could be from the same person or group.
The first fire was reported in an empty shed on 45 Avenue and 57 Street was reported to police before 5:30pm on Sunday. The second fire was reported after 10pm on the same evening, in a detached garage on 50 Avenue and 54 Street. The third fire destroyed a vacant commercial building on 49 Avenue and 55 Street, reported at 4:30am.
RCMP say though it’s very early in the investigation, based on the proximity of the fires, they believe all three fires are suspicious and potentially done by the same suspect(s).
