On November 8th, many gather across the country to honor National Indigenous Veterans Day in remembrance of the First Nations, Inuit and the Metis who bravely served in the Canadian Military in times of war.
Many gathered inside City Hall for the first time to pay their respects towards Indigenous Veterans, along with hearing the stories from those that served.
Windspeaker Radio Network spoke with Chuck Issacs, President of the Aboriginal Veterans Society of Alberta, as he says that the ceremony within City Hall was the biggest event he has ever witnessed with the help of the City of Edmonton.
