The city of Edmonton will be moving to a new transit payment system, leaving the old style vending machines in the past.
The old paper ticket machines will be decommissioned in favour of Arc fare machines at transit stations across the city including LRT stations.
Arc fare vending machines dispense single-use tickets and reloadable cards and accept payment by cash, debit or credit cards. The old paper machines only accepted cash and will be turned off until ETS can remove them all.
Fare products in the old machines including paper tickets can still be purchased at ETS stores and online.
