A woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a man on the Bigstone Cree Nation, about 300km north of Edmonton.
RCMP in Wabasca said they answered a report of an assault, arriving at a residence to find an injured 75-year-old man on Tuesday, October 17th.
They attempted life-saving procedures on the man, but he was pronounced deceased on scene.
A 20-year-old woman, who is also a resident of Bigstone Cree Nation, was charged in the murder of the man at the second-degree.
She is set to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Wabasca on Thursday, October 19th.
