RCMP crews in Northern Alberta have issued warnings after two overdoses including one fatal overdose in Grimshaw.
On Wednesday, emergency crews were called to a fentanyl overdose within the community, despite efforts from the medical team the 29 year old man passed away. Just hours after the first incident, crews were called to a second suspected fentanyl overdose. The victim was taken to hospital and is currently recovering.
Police are currently conducting welfare checks and investigating the overdoses, while reminding the public to be cautious with street drugs.
Police encourage everyone to keep a naloxone kit handy.
