A 19-year-old Edmonton man is facing numerous charges including dangerous driving causing death in connection to a single-vehicle fatal collision July 29th in southeast Edmonton.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023, EPS Southeast Branch patrol officers responded to a collision call at 17 Street and 34 Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located a 2014 Cadillac Escalade on on fire in a nearby field.
In total, here were six occupants travelling inside the vehicle at the time of the collision.
Paramedics treated and transported five of the occupants to hospital, two of which sustained life-threatening injuries.
The sixth occupant, a 19-year-old male, was discovered deceased, inside the vehicle.
Tarantej Dhariwal, 19, of Edmonton has been charged with:
- Dangerous driving causing death
- Impaired operation causing death
- Operate impaired causing death while over 80mg%
- Impaired operation causing bodily harm (x2)
- Operate impaired causing bodily harm while over 80mg% (x2)
- Dangerous driving causing bodily harm (x2)
