As the weather cools down and summer winds to an end, it’s the perfect time to check out what Elk Island National Park has to offer.
Whether it be stargazing, hiking or watching wildlife as they migrate for the season, there’s something for everyone this season with less traffic.
Becky Friesen is the Promotions Officer with Elk Island National Park and says the changing of the seasons makes this one of the best times to visit the National Park.
Friesen says the fall season brings in lots of different wildlife, including the elk and deer mating seasons, bird migration as well as bison out and about.
Though traffic will ease up, Friesen continues to urge travelers to use caution near campsites, and especially driving in the dark.
