The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed defenseman Evan Bouchard to a two-year contract thats worth $7.8 million.
Bouchard was one of the remaining RFA’s left without a contract in the NHL season.
Last season, he had eight goals and 32 assists in 82 games for the Oilers, and followed up with four goals and 13 assists in the playoffs.
The new contract will start right away and expire after the 2024-25 season, where he will again be a restricted free agent.
The Oilers preseason starts on September 24th when they battle the Winnipeg Jets at Rogers Place.
