The TELUS World of Science is offering free Science Centre general admission to evacuees displaced by the ongoing wildfires. The free admission includes access to the six permanent Exhibit Galleries and the dome theatre.
Constance Scarlett is the President and CEO of TELUS World of Science and says the organization got together during the spring to set up free admission for any wildfire evacuees to help ease the stress.
During the 2016 wildfires in Fort McMurray, Scarlett and her family were evacuated so being able to help the evacuees this year has been rewarding for her.
For families looking for a break from the difficulties, the Science Centre is a welcoming destination with a variety of different interactive exhibits. Families evacuated can show a piece of government issued ID to receive free admission.
The TELUS World of Science is open from 9am-6pm daily.
