Alberta RCMP say one person is dead after a late-night collision between a train and vehicle in Leduc County.
Police say officers responded to reports of the collision around 1:11 a.m.
The crash occured on Highway 21 near Looma Road according to Leduc RCMP.
It is believed that the vehicle ran into the side of the moving train.
RCMP say traffic between Township Road 510 and Highway 626 was being redirected while they investigated but is now open.
The deceased was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where identity would be confirmed.
Mounties say CN police have joined the investigation.
