The Youville Residential School Truthing Ceremony took place at Mission Park in St.Albert, with many Elders and community members gathered to honor and ackowledge the soil before demolition of the NABI building.
Kerri Randolph, Chair of the Youville Residential School Truthing Initiative spoke with Windspeaker Radio Network about the acknowledgement of what took place on the sacred grounds where NABI building currently stands, is where the Youville Residential School formally resided within Mission Park.

Indigenous monitors will be present at the demolition, and if remains are to be discovered during the ground disturbance, Randolph says a full stop will be made untill further notice after the Metis, First Nation and Inuit communities are consulted on the findings.
