Calgary Stampede launches mobile app

The Calgary Stampede is offering visitors a new way to navigate the grounds and plan their experience throughout the 10-day event.

For the first time, a mobile application will help guide Stampede-goers around the grounds, noting locations of fun food items, times of performances and information on other attractions.Within the app, patrons will find a list of events taking place on any given day of the Stampede and a search function, allowing them to create their own personalized journey of the grounds throughout the day. The app’s digital map will help folks find their way around Stampede Park, while allowing visitors to buy tickets for the rodeo or shows at the Saddledome.

“There is something for everyone at the Calgary Stampede, and our new app is your digital tour guide to see, taste and experience everything The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth has to offer,” says Calgary Stampede spokesperson Shannon Greer. “From checking show times to buying rodeo tickets, our new app makes it easy to plan your day and personalize your experience, so you don’t miss a minute of the fun.”

The app is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

This year’s Stampede runs from July 7 to 16.
