The Second annual OKIMAW Marketplace was underway this week at the River Cree Resort and Casino, which saw vendors from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
CFWE Radio spoke with Terry Brown, CEO of Okimaw Community and HR Solutions, he said the second annual event is empowering with having Indigenous art and wears that are authentic for people to buy and for vendors to flourish.

Brown says this years event is much bigger then previous years. He also looks ahead to the 2024 edition, scheduled for Saskatoon.

Brown encourages many to attend the event at River Cree to check out the variety of beadwork and crafts made by Indigenous vendors.
