As the evacuation order continues in Fort Chipewyan and the surrounding communities, many evacuees are making their way to Fort McMurray and Fort McKay.
Those evacuating are in need of essential items.
If you live in Wood Buffalo & can help out, Emergency Social Services is accepting the following donations:
- Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrushes)
- Gently used and clean clothing for children and adults
- New socks and underwear
- Diapers and baby wipes
- Feminine hygiene products
Please bring these items to Centrefire Place between 9 am-9 pm.
United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo is accepting New bathing suits and towels (for evacuees to enjoy MacDonald Island Park)
Please bring these items to the Salvation Army Thrift Store or The Redpoll Centre.
