A three year old boy passed away in Slave Lake Tuesday night after he was hit by a truck driver.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at 7:16 p.m.
The child, a resident of Slave Lake, was transported to the Slave Lake Healthcare Centre and died from their injuries.
Police said a preliminary investigation has indicated the driver of the pickup truck was travelling down the road when the truck hit the child at a slow rate of speed “who appeared suddenly and unexpectedly in front of them.”
Police continue to investigate.
