The Induction of some of Canada’s best- and most well-known music artists are now legends they join the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the Studio Bell in downtown Calgary.
The 2023 inductees were, French Canadian singer Diane Dufresen, Jazz Pianist Oliver Jones, rock band Trooper and Alberta country singer Terri Clark. The night also honoured singer Deborah Cox who was inducted at the 2022 Junos.
Windspeaker Radio Network had the chance to catch country music legend Terri Clark about how she feels about being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame on the Red Carpet.
The night continued with instructions from specials guests like Jane Arden and Rick Mercer who inducted each of the artists who are considered pillars in Canada music. With a special tribute to the Late Gordan Lightfoot.
Each inductee had a special video presentation to show their careers followed by performances from each of the inductee preforming pieces and songs that high light their careers. Terri Clarks preformed her 2001 hit “No Fear” followed later by Canadian power band Trooper preforming what is considered the anthem of Canadians and 1978 hit “Raise a Little Hell”.
After a building shaking performance from Trooper Inductees were brought to the firth floor of Studio Bell to place their names among legends of Canadian music. After the placing of the plaques on into the hall of fame, Windspeaker Radio network had the opportunity to speak with Trooper to hear what is next in the band’s journey.
