Two new wildfires reported south of Fort McMurray

Alberta Wildfire is reporting two new wildfires that were discovered today (May 16) south of Fort McMurray.

MWF016 near Highway 63 is roughly 20 km south of Fort McMurray. Eight wildland firefighters and two helicopters responded and held it quickly.

LWF120, south of Anzac, currently has 12 wildland firefighters, four helicopters, an air tanker, and heavy equipment attending the scene. It is classified as out of control
