Red Dress Day was recognized on Friday, May 5th to honor missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people (MMIWG2S+).
From 4:30 to 8:30, an event was held in Legacy Park in Fort Saskatchewan. Colleen Dollfusz, co-founder of the Indigenous Society of Fort Saskatchewan and the organizer of the walk and event, spoke about what was featured, and what the day meant to her:
