On Sept 30, Telus World of Science in Edmonton offered free admission to Indigenous guests.
There was a Tipi raising, Lighting of the Qulliq, an Indigenous Vendors Market and activities throughout the Science Centre.
CFWE’s Brooklin brittain spoke with Kat McIntyre, owner of 7 Starkwe, about her business at the Indigenous Vendors Market.
When asked about what the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation meant to her, Kat said it is a hard day for a lot of people, including her family.
Kat says that she hopes more action will take place, such as making a museum for the 60s Scoop Survivors.
