A pride crosswalk in Leduc has been vandalized for the 2nd time in as many months.
On June 24th, police were called after black tire marks were left on the LGBTQ2S+ tribute with police calling it a “hateful” act.
Crews were called to the same crosswalk on July 25th after it was reported someone spread “tac oil all over the southbound lane”.
Jeff McBeth is with the Leduc RCMP and says this deliberate act of mischief to the crosswalk that was painted to recognize and support the 2SLGBTQ+ community is being treated as a hate-motivated crime.
Anyone with information about vandalism to the Pride crosswalk is asked to call Leduc RCMP at 780-980-7200
