The town of High Prairie is getting ready to host their annual Pow Wow event on July 15th.
CFWE spoke with Wendy Goulet, Co-chair for the High Prairie Traditional Pow Wow. She talks about what people can expect when they head on down to the Gordon Buchanan Centre for the Pow Wow, after the rescheduling of the event following the aftermath of the wildfires in May 2023.
Goulet says the Pow Wow is important to help bring the community closer together to heal in the aftermath of the wildfires.
Goulet embraces the youth coming together, showcasing the culture and dance within the traditional Pow Wow.
