On May 5, there was a report of three garbage cans that had extinguished fires in various locations around Telford Lake along the multiway. There was no property damage.
Then on May 10, a report was received for an extinguished garbage can fire in Deer Valley Park. That fire also did not damage any property.
On May 30, police received a report that a porta-potty had been significantly damaged by what appeared to be a fire set sometime between May 29 and May 30.
Emergency services responded to a backyard garbage bin fire on June 7 at a home that was under renovations in the area of 47 Street and 47 Avenue. The fire was extinguished and there was no property damage.
On June 9, at about 10:40 a.m., emergency services responded to a poplar fire in the Ravine Villas area. The fire was extinguished with no property damage.
Then on June 10, at about 11 a.m., emergency services responded to a fire at the Telford Lake Observation Deck. The fire was extinguished with minor damage to the wood railing and structure.
The cause of each of the fires remains under investigation.
